When you cast Hammer 2, you go through a jump/leap animation, and mid-animation you activate Judge's Intervention to teleport to your enemy and instantly land the Hammer 2. If you set up correctly with something like Spear of Justice + Longbow 2/3 into Hammer 2 + Judge's Intervention, you can usually kill squishies.

Guardian is really good with Greatsword.Ranger is too.Necro is decent, though you'll spend a lot of time in Shroud rather than using your greatsword.Mesmer does okay with Greatsword though it has better options.Warrior is meh with Greatsword, but it provides a lot of mobility which is nice for PvP/WvW.
For all practical purposes, engineer is current the most versatile profession. It can do pdps, cdps, heal quickness, heal alac, dps quickness, dps alac. best class is 10/10. worst class is 8/10. rest are 9/10. this is how guild wars 2 works. so my suggestion is pick for gameplay. If you want to know which class is 10/10 it is guardian but i cant play it, guardian's gameplay is not for me. Thank you all , your answers made me understood that its not like other MMOS. #6.
The highest APM classes in the game are Untamed (Ranger) followed by Weaver (Elementalist), but both of those are expansion builds so not F2P. As for the base game Elementalist and Engineer would probably have the most active gameplay. Most builds in gw2 have higher APM than wow and ff due to local instead of global skill cooldowns.
Best support is different from healer, Guardian is the best support class as you need the stability it provides it also has a couple of small ish heals. It's complex (in a good way!) because support in the context of WvW is rather nebulous, with many builds possessing distinct advantages and disadvantages.
If a new Ranger had to pick a race today though, Sylvari may be safest bet in case Rangers meta shifts back towards condi. Other issues also came up with Human Thief w/ Melandru, and Sylvari Mesmer.
