Could have gone for the FL, but just think that the pre has a more aggressive look to it. Still see a FL vRS and wonder if i made the right decision, but its painted now and no going back and do love the car. Edited 27 April, 2012 by dainott. 1.

I believe changes were all cosmetic, better seats to prevent sagging with TTS embossed, bumpers grills etc. The only difference between black edition and the regular TTS is colour of grill, 19
It’s not interchangeable between 1.6-litre and 2-litre GTs either, the bigger-engined car’s rev counter being marked V4. Batteries for cars with flat post connectors are hard to find but it’s possible to change the leads. Pre-facelift models used narrower batteries, check the size of the battery tray before buying a replacement.
The changes made in a facelift are usually concentrated in the areas of a car that are easiest to alter – bumpers, lights, etc. But even small changes to a car’s styling and specification cost a lot of money to design, implement and market. That cost has to be met, so a facelift usually signifies an increase in a car’s list price.
I now know the difference between the pre & post face lift car. The other comments about insurance and money spent are valid too. Yaseena, what you need to do is to take photos at the start, during and end of the build, to document the whole process for future reference to the forum, and any customer when you come to sell - If you do mod the car.
